ERE goes more community led

The Beta of David Manaster's revamped ERE site is out now and can be found here: http://beta.community.ere.net/ it's certainly more of a community feel and looks like the updated linkedin site, if that's the market they are going after then it's going to be a tough call but they have some serious reach through the community.

The addition of personal blogspace into the site is a good call and will really help with their content for SEO, the activity feed, ability to follow people's activity and threaded discussions will all make the site feel a lot better. Personally I found the old site way too text heavy and cluttered which led me to not want to spend a lot of time on there apart from to read specific info. This may well make people spend more time getting involved, but then, I'm not American and the yanks seem to love ERE, looking at a lot of industry sites in the US they have a similar feel, UK sites are usually a little softer.

It will be really interesting to see how ERE takes off from the new launch.
