Judging by the emails and tweets I've seen this morning I think a fair proportion of the online recruitment industry drank pretty heavily last night, myself included, Paul Harrison from Carve is squarely to blame for my condition this morning.. that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. We were somewhat unwisely looking for a venue to continue drinking at some god forsaken time of the morning before we called it quits and went our separate ways.
Thanks to the guys from Jobsite and TheLadders for keeping the Onrec team lubricated post awards.
The whole thing went off pretty well, I was gutted to be beaten to the punch on the auction of Rugby tickets, overall the auction went really well, kept it quicker than in previous years when we've perhaps had too many lots up for grabs.
The awards went really well, the highlight was Lee from CV Library thinking he'd won when it was just the list of nominees being read out. Also the Lack of Dan McGuire, nominated for 4 years in a row, finally wins and was not in the room to accept! Congrats anyway Dan, well deserved.
To be honest the number of nominees was way too long in some categories and could / should be cut to a shortlist of maybe 4 for next year.

Far too tired / hungover to write anything overly coherent, realised that I did a 22 hour day yesterday, no wonder I feel like this..
